Dromore trail

 Today a Cornwall group walked parts of the Dromore trail, about 4 km in total.

 We found this garter snake enjoying the warmed of the sun.

Afterwards we had lunch at Kristies in Mount Stewart.
This evening I was cycling with the Sherwood group, it now starts  at 4:30.  We cycled to the Suffolk road and back. As I cycled from home I logged 37 km by the time I got home.
A sunny day with a high of 18.

Georgetown

 After lunch I drove to Brudenell and started cycling at the grain elevators.

This is the boardwalk at the end of the trail coming into Georgetown.

Lots of seagulls at the wharf at Georgetown and from the number of droppings on the wharf it si not the first day the seagulls were there.
A nice sunny day with a high of 22 and a light wind.

Big ship

 I had breakfast with the retired firefighters at this diner.

Midafternoon I went cycling into Charlottetown and saw this cruise ship at the wharf.

I cycled the trail to Milton and back to Winsloe, this section of the trail is at Coles creek.
It was a nice day for cycling, sunny with a light wind and a high of 21although it was down to 15 by the time I got home (6:00)

The project in Hampshire is basically complete.

Walk in woods

 After lunch I spend some time cleaning up the shop and then took a short walk in the rain.
I don't know what these flowers are.

The wind was from the north and had gusted to 70 km/h at times, this poplar tree was a victim of the wind.
 
Not much traffic on the bridge for a while.
We had rain all day with a high of 13.

Compost day

 Fresh carrots for supper today, we have been using ones from the garden for over a month.

Today it was time to turn the compost, this bin was full in the spring, I turn it every 3-4 weeks.

This is the last turning for this batch, I will starting filling this side with leaves and garden material.
A mixed day of rain, cloud and brief bits of sun shine with a high of 14.
I donated plasma this evening.

Lawn

All the rain is keeping the grass green and growing. I was to Hampshire for the day but after supper I mowed the lawn. I then was to a wake. A mostly cloudy day with lightwind and a high of 14.

New store?

This location is near the Charlottetown mall, looks like it is the site work for a new store.

Although it was a misty evening, there was 10 in the cycling group this evening. We cycled to Milton and back about 18 km.
I visited the neighbors in the morning and then was to Hampshire for a while in the afternoon.
The high for the day was 15 and it was down to 10 by the time I got home from cycling.

Busy day

 In the morning I cycled from Mt Stewart to Peaks and return, about 25 km.

 After lunch I joined the firefighters at the annual Cenotaph parade in Cornwall.

Then a neighbor asked me to join him in playing 9 holes of golf at the Strathgartney Highlands course.
First time this season, so my score is not worth reporting.
Sunny with a high of 24 but windy, gusting ti 60km/h at times.

I had breakfast the the radio club members, then to Hampshire for most of the day.
This evening I had church take out cold plate dinners with all the family.

Balloon

 This evening I cycled from Milto to Hunter River and back. I saw this balloonist while I was in Darlington.

The flowers at the Kent Ellis park are still looking good.
I spend the day in Hampshire. It was mostly sunny with also no wind and a high of 20.

New store coming to Charlottetown

I was to town doing a couple errands in the morning, Target has the sign up but not ready to open yet.
I spend the rest of the day in Hampshire. I helped with making relish in the evening.

Elmira

 Today I drove to New Zealand and cycled to Elmira which is the east end of the Confederation Trail.

 Not many people around today but a nice cool day

By the time I cycled back to New Zealand I had logged 41 km on the bike.
I was to long creek this evening for auction cards.

Leards pond

More Sunday photos, this bridge and rest area is in Wellington.

New this year is the trail to Leards pond, located a couple km east of O,Leary.
After visiting the neighbors I mowed the lawn. After lunch I was to Hampshire but it started raining by 3:00
The high for the day was 16 and the Monday evening cycling cancelled.

A good cycling day

 I drove to Miscouche and cycled the trail to Alma. About 86 km on the trail.

The fire hall in Wellington, a clear day with a high of 18 and a moderate west wind.

The rest area in O'Leary, There were a few cyclists on the trail, I met 12 and was talking to 3 groups, one couple was here from the US to cycle the trail.

Soybeans are loking good.

This field of soybeans back of the woods are really looking good.

 Lots of bean pods on each plant.

After supper I took a walk though the woods and around the ball field.
Showers early in the day then cloudy periods, the sun was breaking though the clouds just as it was setting.
The high was around 20.

Heavy rain today

Rain all day, heavy at times, photo taken around 10:00 AM. By mid afternoon we had about 40 mm and another 40-50 mm forecast for tonight. Temperature around 20 all day.

There was 8 of us in the group, we cycling Milton to North Wiltshire and back, about 21 km.

Flowers

 The gladiolas are fading and soon will be gone but the pansies are still looking good. 
I had breakfast at Smithy's with a cousin from the US this morning. I spend the afternoon in Hampshire and attended a firefighter meeting this evening.

Appin road hike

I was hiking with the Cornwall group in the morning, there were seven of us. We were on the trail for 90 minutes and walked about 5 km.

The Sherwood road cyclists started the ride at 6:00 pm and cycled to Suffolk and back, about 21 km.
This field with the geese is located in York,

Between the field and the pond there were over two hundred geese.
Mostly sunny with a high of 16, it was only 12 when I got home for cycling at 8:00.
Very windy as well, gusting to 45 km/h.

A 'y' on the trail

 At the Royalty Junction you have to decide which way to go, today I went towards York.

 But I only went to the Union road and turned at marker 180.

The trail is close to the airport, I can see the control tower to the east.
Mostly sunny at 20 but a little windy. I was to Hampshire til 5:30 then went cycled for 90 minutes.

Cloud

I was in Hampshire til it started raining around 3:00 PM. By 6:00 the rain had stopped and the sun was peeking out. I took this shot at the intersection while I was waiting for the light to change.
