Vancouver day 7
Sunny until mid afternoon then cloudy at 14. This morning I cycled across the Burrard bridge and out to the UBC and back to Broadway street logging 26 km. I then sold the bicycle at a used bike shop. I then took subway (Canada Line) back to Hostal. In the afternoon I took bus to Stanley Park and visited the Vancouver Aquarium. Time to pack the bags for home, my flight goes out at 11:00 AM. No post tomorrow.

Vancouver day 6
Mostly sunny at 14. This morning I cycled Stanley Park and in the Afternoon I took the bus to Grouse mountain and then took the chair lift up to the top. I was back by 6:00 so I cycled to Granville Island and came home by False Creek which give me a total of 40 km for the day.

Vancouver day 5
Sunny with a high around 12. I cycled around Stanley Park in the morning. I had a 3 hour lunch date in the afternoon and this evening I cycled along False Creek to Carrol street and then cycled though Gas Town, stopped and had a look at the steam clock. I then cycled Burrard street to the bridge where I took some photos from the bridge and then back home logging 39 km for the day.
Vancouver day 4
It rained a lot last night but by 10:00 AM the sky had cleared so I cycled around Stanley Park. By noon it was warm enough to walk around without a jacket. After lunch I cycled across the inlet and visited with a cousin. On the way home I took the cycle path around False Creek. By the time I was home I had logged 40 km.

Vancouver day 3
The previous post was for Sunday. This morning was overcast and I cycled around Stanley Park and found some new trails. After lunch I cycled across the Burrard bridge and cycled along the seawall of Vanier Park towards UBC but I turned back before getting there as it started to rain. The wind was gustly as well. By the time I was back to the Hostal I had logged (by the GPS unit) 54 km.

This afternoon I cycled around Stanley Park and then followed the seawall around to Granville Island. I logged about 35 km for the afternoon. This evening I watched the hockey game.
There was rain in the morning but mostly sun at a cool 12 in the afternoon.

Vancouver
Hi all, I arrived in Vancouver last night at 11:30, later than I expected because I was detoured though Calgary. Overcast at 8 presently. Breakfast is being served so time to have something to eat.

Confederation Trail
Confederation trail at the Loyalist Road looking east.

Mostly sunny, a few very light showers in morning, temp was 15+.
I donated plasma in the morning and attended a 2 hour church meeting after lunch. At 3:30 I went cycling, TCH to the mall and then the trail to Milton and the road home logging 26 km.
This evening I spend a few minutes packing a suitcase as by this time tomorrow I will be in the west coast. So there may not be a post every day next week.

Fishing boats

I was in Montague for a funeral at 11:00 and this evening I played cards in Hampshire, I had second high for the men. Tonight will be my last night playing cards in Hampshire for the season.

There was frost this morning at -6, mostly sunny at 12 this afternoon. I attended a town meeting at 11:00. I went cycling this afternoon, I cycled to York and back logging 30 km. This evening I attended a retired firefighters meeting.

Fox
I saw this fox on the trail just west of the bypass highway, it was heading to Charlottetown.
It was on the trail when I first saw it but then just went into the field and continued on its way.
Sunny at 7 and windy. I went cycling late in afternoon, I cycled to the Charlottetown mall and the took the trail to Milton and cycled home by the road logging 22 km. This evening attended a meeting at town office foe two hours.

Snow on trail
In North Wiltshire a small amount of snow still on the trail.
From Charlottetown to North Wiltshire the trail looks like this other than one spot.
Sunny with a high of 13 but windy. After the curling was over, ( Canada won over Norway) I cycled to the Charlottetown mall and then cycled the trail to North Wiltshire and then back to Milton and then took the road home from Milton logging 41 km for the trip.

Lawn care
Today I put the dethatcher blade on the lawnmower and did the lawn
The dead grass makes look brown but it should soon turn green.
Some sun at 10 and windy, light rain this evening. Breakfast meeting with the retired firefghters this morning. After lunch I installed a ceiling fan for my daughter. Then I limed the lawn and dethatched the lawn. Again no cycling.

Daffodils
Some Daffodils are open but with the colder weather coming, they will soon be gone.
I purchased a turning fork today, so now I will have to do some work in the garden.

Westwood school
New wing being added to the Westwood school in Cornwall

Today was windy with mostly sun at 10. After lunch I cycled around town logging 21 km.
Later in the afternoon I attended two wakes, one a member of the Radio club and the connected to the cycling group. At 5:00 PM attended at tails meeting with lunch.

Confederation Trail

The trail in this area is in great shape considering that it is the first of April.
Sunny at 20. After lunch I cycled into Charlottetown and then picked up the trail at Grafton street and cycled the trail to Milton, about 14 km on the trail, by the time I got home I logged 36 km.
