This is a kit built as a 1914 Ford Speedster and built on a 1926 Ford model T chassis.
There was lots of model T's and A's at this car show in the town of Olar.
Also a few old John Deere tractors, they were built in the 1950's.
It rained about 50 mm today with winds 55 gusting to 80 km/h for most of the day and a cool 2.
So no cycling .

Confederation Trail
This part of the trail is in Miscouche, there is about 8 km without a curve.
Most of the red leaves are off the trees but this one in Linkletter still has them.
This part of the trail is just as you are coming into Milton.
Today I got a ride to Richmond and then cycled to Summerside, then got a ride to Fredericton, Then I cycled to Milton where my vehicle was, and drove home from there. I logged 55 km on the bicycle.
It was mostly sunny but a bit cool at 5.

Red blueberry fields
In the Hopefield area I saw this blueberry field showing its fall colour.
With another Trail Officer, we cycled from Iona to Murray Harbour this afternoon, about 36 km.
The beavers are busy getting the winter food supply ready, these trees were about 30 cm in diameter. It was a nice day for cycling, light wind, sunny at 13.

Fall clean up
The grass hadn't being cut for two weeks and the wind had brought down lots of leaves.
So I spend a couple hours with the lawn mower with the bagger on it, the lawn looks a lot nicer, until the next wind.
I picked up enough leaves to fill one half of the compost bin.
Mostly sunny with a high of 15. I had breakfast with the retired firefighters this morning and was to a church supper this evening.

Home in PEI
The first sighting of PEI as we cross the bridge to home.
A much closer view of the Island shore as we are coming of the bridge, A lot of driving, over 6,000 km for the return trip.
This is the bicycle I borrow when in South Carolina, I have used it for several years now. This trip I logged about 100 km on it.

Green grass and trees
It was a sunny day at 22. These photos taken in the ballfield, Note how green the grass is and the leaves are all still on the trees.
Far back on the left is a maple tree, it has started to change colour.
After I took this photo I noticed the two red barns way back on the horizon. I guess the setting sun made them stand out. No cycling today, a rest day after yesterday.
A note to all the faithful viewers, I am traveling for the couple weeks so there will be days when there is nothing posted.

110 km day
There were 20 cyclists taking part in the Tip to Tip ride over three days. We had lunch at the Legion in O'Leary.
Most of the bicycles parked here.
This was the start in Tignish and we were getting lined up for the start photo. It was a nice day for cycling sunny with a light wind (most of the time in our faces) and a high of 20.
It is 110 km on the trail from Tignish to the east side of Summerside.

Stormy day
I took this photo to show the bit of snow laying on the wipers. But it is interesting how the water on the windshield caused items in the photo to be distorted.
It was windy but not as bad as yesterday, mostly rain with snow showers at times and a couple sunny breaks during the afternoon.
The temp this morning was 2 and the high for the day 10, presently it is 3.

Wind storm
The wind was gusting to 60 km/h when I took this video. At west Point today the wind hit gusts of 138 km/h with steady wind of 110 km/h.
The highest wind gust at this location was around 100 km/h.
My rain gauge is showing 75 mm for the day. And the temp was 7.
I donated plasma this morning and attended a radio club meeting this evening.

Island East cycling event day 3
The Ladies of Murray Harbour had a great assortment muffins, rolls, fruit and tea & cooffee for us this morning. Unfortunately it is raining again but not like yesterday. My gauge showed 50 mm for yesterday and only 5 mm for today.
A smaller number taking part today, about 40-45 brave souls. Actually a better day because the trail was not muddy for the most part and the distance was only 22 km. Beef stew and fresh rolls for us when we got to Wood Islands.

Island East cycling event day 2
I took this photo of the boats in St Peters bay as I drove to St Peters this morning.
Looking across the bay to the big church. The cycling today is from St Peters to Souris, about 36 km. Unfortunately it rained all the way to Souris, we were very wet and muddy, lucky there was a garden hose at the end of the ride to hose of the bikes and ourselves. Now to get everything dry to be ready for tomorrow's ride. The forecast is for showers, but after today I hope we are between showers. The temp wasn't too bad, around 15.
