I was out getting the paper shortly after 6:00 and noticed the mist rising off the field.
The rising sun was just hitting the tree tops. No cycling again today.

Flowers & clouds
I was cycling with the Sherwood road group this evening, we cycled to Suffolk road and back. These brown eyed susans were near Suffolk.
I took this photo of the setting sun on the clouds from the North River bridge.
A overcast day with scattered showers for most of the day.

Montague waterfront
I was to Montague today and took the bike with me.
Lots of boats at the Montague water front. I cycled to Cardigan and back logging 27 km.
This bridge crosses the Brudenell river, from the size of the beams, it is a old railway bridge.
Overcast all day with a light mist at times, a temperature high of 20.

Rustico race
I was to South Rustico to cycle 17 km in a duathlon event, my son was doing the 7.5 k, run.
This building was a bank at one time and is one of the oldest stone buildings in PEI.
There was about 45/50 cyclists in the event, we had a 50 km/h head wind for the first 4 km, the wind made for a rough start to the race. I feel I should be able to do the 17 km in 40 minutes but today it took 44 minutes.
I finished cutting the grass after lunch and spend some time cutting the grass by hand some trees I had planted.

Harbour boat
As I was cycling the waterfront yesterday, the harbour hippo was just coming ashore.
Rain this morning, so I visited family members. The sun came out mid afternoon, by 4:00 it was 28 with a humdix of 39. That was when I started mowing the front lawn, I was to Dunstaffnage for cards in the evening.

Stand up water boards
After lunch I cycled into Victoria park where this fellow was in the harbour on a board.
I then cycled to Grafton street and took the trail to Winsloe and the road home.
There were sail boats out in the harbour but there still is a lot more here at the dock.
This evening I cycled with the Hampshire group, 13 in the group today, we cycled Loyalist road to North Wiltshire and return. I had a good day as I logged 63 km for both rides. Cloudy all day at 19.

Gateway Village
Today I cycled from Emerald to Borden, this first photo is of the Hills of Borden as you approach Gatway Village.
There is two of this type of wind mills, sure are difference, because of the small blade size they can't be making too much power.
Some tourists are checking out the bridge segment on display at the village.
A nice day in the low twenty's with a nice breeze.

old scales
Not sure what this machine was used for, it is old but my guess is that it was for sealing cans.
A couple of scales, a platform beam scale on the bottom and a simple beam scale hanging from the beam.
I had breakfast with the firefighters in morning, then installed a belt on a riding lawn mower. then in the afternoon tided up the shop and did a couple little jobs for my daughter.
A hot day at 30+. I thought about going cycling in evening but we had a light shower with the forecast saying thunderstorm possible. So I left the cycling til tomorrow.

More Museum photos
These tuna are good sized fish.
This lens from a light house must have been one of the bigger lights.
I have no idea what this is or what it was used for. Lots of gears ans a cable drum.
I cycled to Charlottetown to take part in the monthly "bike to work noon ride" I didn't see it but I was told that I was on the local TV news. I cycled home by Winsloe and cycled in rain from Winsloe to home.
I was to Dunstaffnage for cards this evening. Temp around the 20 mark.

It rained overnight and was still cloudy when we left Charlottetown.
But the sun came out by the time we got to Basin Head. The high for the day was 24.

House
This house in Sunrise Cove is slowly nearing completion, still waiting for siding.
I work on the roof til noon. I did yard & garden work for afternoon and went back on the roof after supper.
There was a breeze which make for good conditions, I guessing a couple of hours to finish.
Cooler today at 25, the official temperature for yesterday was 32.6

This evening I went cycling, Milton to Hunter River, this bridge is in Hunter River.
This farmer in Darlington is putting up his hay with a square baler equiped with a bale thrower.
I had breakfast with the hams, then worked on the roof til 3:00 PM. Just the ridge cap left to do.
A sunny day with a light breeze, our gauge was showing 29.

Roof
I had a slow start this morning, after ten and only work til 3:00 but finished the wing section.
About 50 shingles should finish the main section push doing the ridge cap.
A mostly sunny day at 22 with a light wind. After supper I mowed the front lawn but no cycling today.

more ducks
This duck and her duckings were crossing the North River road at the Queens arm intersection, the traffic stopped to let her cross. They then went onto the lawn at the Esso station.
We had rain the morning right after I just got started on the roof but I had a good afternoon.
No cycling this evening as I had to make a couple trips to Charlottetown.
There was a couple of time the sun peek out this evening, the temperature high was 24.

More photos from yesterday
This pond is near Bear River, can you spot the duck and three ducklings?
This artisan well near Harmony Junction is dry at this time of the year or whenever the water table is low.
This wind farm is located at Elmira, although there are not all in the photo I think there is 10 in total.
I was on the roof til mid afternoon and mowed the back half of the lawn. I was to a retired firefighters meeting this evening.

Cyclists & corn field
There was about 17 on the Sherwood ride this evening, we cycled to the Colville road and back.
This Trail along bike is a neat way to get the young ones started on cycling.
This cornfield in Hampshire would have gotten a boost from the hot weather last week.
I was working on the roof til 2:00 It was mostly sunny with a high of 22.
