Skiing

Sunny with light wind, low temp was -22 and the high-7. 14 km on EB. I was on the skis for almost two hours after lunch. I attended a town meeting at 4:30 and the the Radio club at 7:00 and then watched curling until TSN switched to hockey.

Cold day

Still lots of snow on the trees, the sun shinning though the trees makes for a nice scene.

Tracks in the snow, ski from yesterday and snowmobile tracks as well.

Sunny with wind made for extreme wind chill, low temp -21 and the high -12. 15 km on EB.
I was curling this morning, and to a meeting in Charlottetown after lunch. I went skiing for a hour starting at 4:00, temp was -18 when I got home. I was planning on going to cards in Warren Grove but with the -21 temp decided to stay home and watch the curling, Ont & PEI are playing, both with 5 & 1 records.

Snow fields

I was making fresh track in the new snow.

Hazy sun at this time, but there was some breaks in the clouds.

Some animal tracks here, fox or coyote. Looking straight ahead about a kilometer would be my home.

A neighbor With a big office space in his barn has started inviting friends for coffee on Monday mornings, there was six of us this morning. Mid afternoon I was out on the skis for a hour and 45 minutes. Watching curling late afternoon, PEI won to go 4 and 1

Water tower

One of the town's trail goes right by the water tower, this is the view from the trail.

The one's out with the snowshoes have made a nice trail though the woods.

Sunny with very light wind, the low temp was -16.5 and the high a -8.5. I was out of the skis for 90 minutes and went all the way to the water tower in the business park and back home. Spending a lot of time watching curling, the PEI women got of to a good start but lost this morning. 15 km on EB.

Fresh snow without a track in it.

Hard work breaking trail, seemed like there was a foot of snow.

Cloudy with a few sunny breaks, clear tonight with a full moon. Very windy early in the day.
Low temp is -11.5 and the high was -6. 6 km on EB. I was out on the sis for 90 minutes. Watched curling starting at 4:00 and went to Hampshire for card game and now back to watching curling. It is the fifth end break while I post it.

Snow

Snow started by 6:30 and by 9:00 we had over 12 cm, my guess is we got 20 cm for the day.

I went out on the skis mid afternoon, it was hard skiing with the fresh snow and the temp at 0, but very nice on the trail though the woods.

Again Cocoa had the correct answer on yesterday's quiz, It was a grain seeder, this photo is the bottom of the seed box, the seed plates (disks) are missing but you can see where they fitted and the holes which the seed was metered though.

Snowing all day (heavy snow in morning) Light wind most of the day but forecast to gust to 80 km though the night. Low temp is -6 and the high was 3. 25 km on EB today and on the skis for a hour. Also used the snow blower to clear the driveway in the morning.

Bare fields and quiz

This field will look different tomorrow because of 15-20 cm of snow forecast.

Cocoa was the winner yesterday, so how can you do on this one, there quite a bit of it missing but the gearing arrangement is the clue.

Overcast with sunny breaks in afternoon, light snow as I post this. Low temp was -2.5 and the high was 5. 25 km on EB. I cycled around town this afternoon for 75 minutes and logged 20 km.
