This small bird was on the traveled part of the trail and I cycled pass it. I stopped thinking it was a young bird just out of the nest. I took this photo, and erred in zooming in and taking another
photo from where I was standing. I took a couple steps towards it and all three just flew away. If you are able to zoom in , you can see it has a long beak.
Lots of dandelions in North Wiltshire. Sunny at a cool 15 and a north wind.
This morning I guided a group of 10 hikers around Cornwall on the trails for 90 minutes.

Elmira
Today I cycled from New Zealand to the east end of the trail which is Elmira.
I had logged over 40 km by the time I was back to the car.
The marker at Elmira is showing that the main trail is 273 km long.
The robin chicks must be hatching as this is the second time I have seen the egg shells on the trail. Sunny with a high of 26 which is a new high for this date.

Confederation trail near Souris
This well at Harmony Junction was flowing very well.
Someone had put out some food and this squirrel didn't mind me taking his photo, this was only a couple km from Souris.
Rain this morning with clearing late in the day, high temp was 10.
I had breakfast at the Red Shores and was doing errands in Charlottetown. I was to cards in Hampshire this evening.

Selkirk pond
I stopped at the bridge in Selkirk and saw these two ducks in the pond / river.
Just As I was ready to leave Selkirk, I looked up the river and saw this canoe coming.
I drove to Souris, about 100 km. I then cycled from Souris to Marie on the trail, about 40 km. Then a fellow TO drove me back to Souris to get my car. I then drove home and by then it was 4:30. Mostly cloudy with a few sunny breaks and a high of 24.

Marsh marigolds
I was cycling in the Cardigan area today, there were Marigolds for 400 meters in this area.
Yesterday evening while driving though Hunter River this fox was on the side of the road. We stopped to get photo but it did not paid us any attention. It was misty this morning and again this evening at 7, but some sunny breaks, I was cycling in shirt sleeves.
The blog site was down last night, you could view but not input, so that why no post yesterday.

Nest
I hiked the Breadalbane trail this morning, we hiked the full trail, about 6 km.
This is part of the group, there was 15 in all. For some reason, there was more women then men.
This is the nest of a mallard duck, about 5 meters for the river. The duck left the nest as we were walking by, otherwise I would never known it was there.
Overcast this morning, rain this afternoon at 7, I attended a firefighters meeting in the evening.

Fallen tree
The other day I checked the trail in the ball field woods, a tree fell on the trail, this is what it looked like after some work with the saw.
And this is before I started. Overcast this morning, showers after lunch that changed to steady rain at a temp of 6. I visited neighbors this morning and went cycling for a hour after lunch between showers in the Mount Stewart area.

Crows
This is a few of the murder of crows in York, I am guessing about 50 crows total.
I cycled from Brackley to Tracadie Cross and turned at marker 196. I logged 38 km for the trip.
Mostly cloudy but it was warm enough to cycle in shirt sleeves, about 19.
All the family came to the house for supper and board games.
