This morning there were 9 in the group of snowshoers that hiked the Strathgartney trail along the Bonshaw river. In this area we were breaking fresh trail in the snow.
The Bonshaw rive is fully iced over in this area, a way back on the hill you can see the CBC TV tower.
The river is tidal in this area and the ice cracks in places as the tide comes in and goes out again.It was a perfect morning with no wind, sunny at zero temp. by late afternoon it was +7 but we finished hiking by 11:15 AM. The afternoon was like a spring day so I washed the car, it needed it because of all the road salt on it.
