Hillsborough river

Looking the other way I see the local Ultramar gas station. I cycled from Brackley to Scotchfort and back to Brackley this afternoon logging 46 km. It was cool at 10 and it was raining for the last couple km's. This evening I went to Hampshire to play cards.

Sunset

Raining in morning, cleared in afternoon and temp got to 18.
I replaced the oil pump on chain saw, cost $22. After lunch helped a neighbor cut a large branch of a tree. I then helped a brother inlaw repace bearing in the deck of a lawn mower. This evening I cycled from Milton to Hunter River and back logging 34 km.

Flowers

Flowers coming in garden include, a poppy, tulips, lilies and a cedar bush on right.
Heavy rain in morning, showers doing the afternoon with a high of 20.
In the morning I took cans and bottles to recycler depot. I was to the wood lot in afternoon and doing some yard work in evening.

Yard work

Raining in morning, cleared in late afternoon. I visited a sister in morning, and had a another sister visit me this afternoon. late afternoon and evening I bundled branches that I had cleaned up around the yard for the spring pick up next week. High temp was 4

Water on trail

I was cycling in the Mount Stewart area this morning before the rain. I had to ride though this water to keep my sneakers dry. I donated plasma in the afternoon and attended a church meeting this evening. Now it is time to watch some hockey, here is hoping Canada still has a team in the playoffs tomorrow.

Beaver pond

This beaver pond in Breadalbane has lost most of the water, no sign of the beavers. The lodge is high and dry.
I visited neighbors this morning. After lunch I drove to Fredericton, then cycled to Kensington and back to Fredericton on the trail logging 47 km. It was a nice day with a high of 14 and light wind. I worked in the yard this evening.

Still snow on the trail in some places, today I cycled from North Wiltshire to Fredericton and back logging 27 km.

This park in memory of Dr. Ellis is in Hunter River next to the trail. I was to church this morning and the family was here for a turkey supper.

Beaver lodge

A beaver lodge at edge of a pond near Bristol. I cycled from Mount Stewart to Morel and back to Mount Stewart on the trail today logging 30 km.

This pond and wet land is just east on Mount Stewart. Temp was near 12.

More snow

Today I started cycling in Milton and got as far as North Wiltshire but this drift of snow stopped me. There was smaller drifts before this but I was able to cycle along the edges.

This field in Hampshire is completely bare of snow and I could hear a tractor working in a field on the other side of the woods. I was cycling for 90 minutes and the temp was 9.

Tracks in snow

These tracks were in the snow at 6:00 AM this morning, came in the driveway and across the lawn back of the house. I think that it was a coyote.

This evening I took a walk though the woods and there is a lot of blow down since I walked it about 10 days ago. Light rain most of the day with a high of 3. I think I will watch some of the Montreal game tonight.

I was at the wood lot this morning, still lots of snow in the woods.

The snow started at 4:00 and is still snowing, the plow just went down our street.
I attended a Island Trails meeting this evening, no cycling today.

Clouds & snow

I cycled the trail from Brackley to Dunstaffnage this afternoon. Photo of clouds taken in York.

There was a few smaller snow drifts before I came to this one in Dunstaffnage. This is where I turned back.

This farmer in York was disking a field.
Mostly sunny with a high of 10. I was cycling on the trail for two hours.
I played cards in Warren Grove this evening.

North river and clouds

I was out cycling for a couple of hours after lunch, this photo is the upper part of the North River.

There was some sunny breaks and this was one of the openings in the clouds
I visited with neighbors this morning and helped unload 28 k of chickens this evening.
The high temp was 10 but windy when I was cycling, gust to 50+ km/h.

Rainy day

Not much rain so far maybe 5 mm but very windy, gusts as high as 75 km/h. Temp around 7.
To church in morning, watched curling this afternoon. Only cycling was on the exercise bike, about 15 km.

River at low tide

The North river north of the bridge at low tide taken around 5:00 PM.

The Confederation trail west of the Loyalist road. Still lots of snow in places. I was able to cycle on the trail from here to the lower Malpeque road, about six km. I was to a church breakfast in Cornwall this morning, in the afternoon I run the lawn mower with the dethatching blade on it to lift the dead grass. I cycled from home to Milton, then on the trail to the lower Malpeque road and back hour logging 25 km. The high temp for the day was 7 with light wind.

Snow on trail

I was in the Mount Stewart / Cherry Hill area this morning checking trail conditions, in the Cherry Hill area there still is drifts of snow on the trail.

Other areas of the trail are looking very good. A mix of sun and cloud with a snow showers at times with a high of 3. There is clear skies tonight and will be a cold night, presently it is -5.

Clouds

The cloud cover was starting to break up as the sun was setting.

This was looking towards the south. Around 6:00 I went out for a 30 minute walk, still some snow in the woods by the ball field. The temp was 12 in the morning but down to 4 by the evening.

Buffalo

This buffalo head is mounted on the wall of the conference room where I was attending a meeting this morning.

Late afternoon I was cycling around town and cycled to the Terry Fox complex. I logged about 20 km. It was cloudy this afternoon at a high of 14. I attended a retired firefighters meeting.

I think the winds were in the 60km/h plus range.

Snake and snow

Was surprised to see a snake sunning its self on the trail today.

I started cycling the trail at the Joe Ghiz park and only got west of the Sherwood road when I found this snow drift.

I took the road to Winsloe but the trail is no better there.
I was out cycling for about 2 hours and logged 30 km. Sunny with a light breeze at 14.
I plan watch curling tonight and I expect Canada to win.

Spring flowers

Some flowers are in bloom on the south east side of the house.

I was out for a 40 minute walk in late afternoon, the mice have most the bark off this spruce tree.
Any guesses on what kink of bird is in the photo? if it is any help, the photo was taken in the south. Mostly sunny with a high near 10 today. Getting ready to watch some curling this evening.

Morning mist, clouds

The morning mist in South Carolina taken last Saturday.

I took a walk though the woods this afternoon and the the field is bare of snow, some nice clouds in the sky.

The foot bridge survived the winter and the spring floods.
I was out for forty minutes walking and attended a Trail Officer meeting this evening.

Saturday in South Carolina

This morning we visited the Rose Hill Mansion.

I was cycling for a couple of hours and then played 18 holes of golf this afternoon.
It was sunny at 20 C with some wind
