Sunset



Sunny with a lot of cloud at 20. Town meeting at noon. This evening went cycling with the Monday group, 14 cyclists this evening. I cycled to Charlottetown Mall, took the trail to Hampshire and then back home, logging 37 km.

Sea gulls


We had 100 mm of rain last night, mostly cloudy with mist at times this afternoon at 20. I drove to Kensington and cycled to Linkletter and back to Kensington with another TO this afternoon logging 35 km.

Sun early in the morning, overcast during the day, now raining at temp of 17. Spent 2 hours this morning at town meeting. No cycling, 8 km on EB.

Canada games


Sunny with some clouds at 17. Mowed the lawn today, Cycled to town in afternoon and to UPEI this evening. Logged 29 km. Also 10 km on EB.

Cornwall




Mostly sunny at 22 and windy, 30 gusting to 45. Cycled to Charlottetown in morning for plasma donation. Town meeting in afternoon and in evening cycled Milton to Hunter River and back logging 54 km for the day.

Sail boats




Cloudy with sunny breaks at 22. Winds 35 gusting to 50 km. Wind was around 25-35 km when photos were taken. In Charlottetown this morning doing some errands. This evening cycled in to Charlottetown and around the harbour and out the trail to the mall and then home, logged 25 km.

St Peters


Sunny, cloudy with showers at 20. Cycled to town office for meeting this morning. Late afternoon I hitched a ride to St Peters with the bike and then cycled back to Charlottetown and then to Cornwall, 64 km plus 16 this morning for a total of 80 km.

Overcast with light rain on and off most of the day, temp around 24. No cycling.
Spend the afternoon at my daughter's putting up a mirror and spice rack, etc.

Wind and sun flowers



Wind, rain at 25, not near as bad as forecast, about 20 mm of rain and wind didn't exceed 50 km.
Around 7:00 I cycled up to the corner and back, 3 km. I expected the sun flowers to break, but they held up very well.

Horses



Cloudy / sunny at 29 with strong breeze. Had breakfast with radio operators (ham) this morning.
At noon time drove to Hampshire and cycled to Breadalbane and back to Hampshire logging 50 km. Considering the hot day I was surprised at the number of cyclists out on the trail, 20+.

Parade





Sunny at 28, some cloud in morning. I cycled into town and saw start of parade. I then cycled around Victoria Park and onto the Confederation Trail. I cycled the trail to Milton and then Rte 248 home logging 35 km. Mowed the grass this afternoon, takes almost two hours.
Photos are of parade items. The old fire truck led the parade. You don't see three horse teams very often. Lots of people out to see the parade, It was estimated at 60,000

O'Leary sunset



Mostly sunny at 26. I was to town office this morning, and some yard work this afternoon. Left home at 4:30 and drove to Ellerslie with another TO. We were 30 minutes in traffic at Summerside. Cycled from Ellerslie to O'Leary logging 27 km.

Old Home Week




Sunny with a haze at 28. This post is for Aug 19 as it was late when I got home from a town meeting. I cycled to Charlottetown for a trail meeting and logged 20 km. In the afternoon drove to Montague to visit friends and spend 3 hours at town meeting in the evening.

Clouds



sunny at 29 In Charlottetown in morning, turned compost in the afternoon. This evening cycled the trail from Hampshire to Glen Valley and back to Hampshire, logged 43 km.

Richmond



Sunny at 29 . I cycled around town this morning, logging 21 km. Did some painting in the shop and had inlaws from Hamilton visiting this afternoon. This evening drove to Richmond with other TOs and cycled from Richmond to Portage logging 25 km. this morning 10 km on EB
Photos are off a concrete culvert that was installed in 1923 and replaced a few years ago.

Grain field



sunny at 30 with light wind. To avoid the heat of the day I started cycling at 9:00 AM. I cycled from Milton to Hunter River and back logging 40 km.

Town Hall



Sunny at 27 with light wind. No cycling today. This morning went to town hall for short meeting. After lunch to the plasma center for medical. Did some light work in my shop this afternoon.

Selkirk pond




Sunny at 25. Donated plasma in morning, cycled to Charlottetown to make donation. After lunch mowed the lawn. This evening drove to St Peters with other TOs and cycled to Souris logging 37 km for a total of 58 for the day.

Confederation Trail



Sunny at 22 with light wind. Committee meeting in morning and worked around home in afternoon. Then cycled around town checking out some trails, logged 16 km.

Mostly overcast at 20, some sun in evening. Attended two committee meetings at town office.
this evening drove to Wellington and cycled west to Ellerslie and back to Wellington logging 46 km.

Overcast at 18 with light rain this evening. Around home for the day, there was a bike ride scheduled with other TOs but cancelled.

Sun flowers


Sunny at 25 with light wind. This afternoon I cycled from Milton to Rte 2 in Tracadie Cross and back to Milton logging 44 km. We then drove to Scotchfort for supper at Rob Roy's Country Kitchen. Then 8:00 PM when there was no wind I tried out my model airplane, once I was able to keep it airborne for over a minute. Photo is of sun flowers coming out in flower, the tallest one is just over 9 feet.

Golfing




Sunny with clouds at 24 and with clear air. (nice day) The shower that we had last night at 11:00 PM measured 10 mm here. This afternoon I played 9 holes of golf with a friend and this evening cycled from Milton to Fredericton and back on the Confederation trail logging 48 km.
Photos are the tee off for hole two at the course in Bonshaw and the barley field in Hampshire that I have been watching all summer, My guess is the it will be harvested within the next 10 days.

Clouds



The day started sunny and warmed up to26, but clouded up in afternoon and around 5:00 PM there was a shower that gave 5 mm in 15 minutes. As I post this there still lighting to the west.
Mowed the lawn in the afternoon using the bagger which makes it slower, takes two hours when bagging. At 7:30 I drove to Milton and cycled to North Wiltshire and back to Milton logging 20 km. Photos are of clouds taken in North Withshire.
