Temperature was around -12 and I had being walking for 40 minutes. The wind was around 30 km/h so when I was in the open the chill factor would be around -20 -22.

New woods trail

I was out in the woods by the business park trying to make a new trail, I was using buck saw as I was over a km from home. Too far to be carrying a chain saw.

So I cut though one down tree today.
I visited neighbors in the morning and was to the mall after lunch. It was about 3:30 when I went for the walk. Overcast at -1 with very little wind.

First photo is the site of the new government garage, very muddy after the rain.

No leaves left on the trees, you could say the trees are ready for winter.

The trail goes right by the fire school. Same weather today as yesterday, overcast at zero with light wind.

After the rain

At noon I went for a walk, the woods trail near the ball field was very wet.

One end of the old bridge moved about 20 cm, I expect the water was over the top of it.

I thought the new bridge was higher, but it was moved more the the other bridge so the water was up on it as well.  Sunny at 10 this afternoon.

The trail was in excellent condition to cycle on, this nice stand of White Birch trees are near Longworth Ave.

I run into a light snow shower as I was approaching Winsloe. It was fine on the trail but there was enough snow to make the pavement wet. I was to the Radio club breakfast and then to the Firemens Christmas this evening.

Breadalbane trail

I hiked the Breadalbane trail this morning, we walking the full loop, 6.5 km.

We had a total of 10 in the group today.

Part of the hiking trail uses the Confederation for a couple hundred meters. If there was snow the snowmobiles would be using the Confederation trail.

This is a branch of the Dunk river as seen from route 231. The hiking goes along the river on one side and comes back of the other side. The temperature was 2 while we were hiking but later in the day it was up to 10.  And the rain started just as we were finishing the hike.
