Apple blossons

I was to Charlottetown in the morning doing some errands, I though because of the rain the construction crew would not be working. They are milling the old pavement.

I was cycling this evening, Hampshire to Darlington, this apple tree was along the side of the trail.

When we started at 6:30 there was mist in the air but by the turning point it had stopped.
It was rain and showers all day with a temperature of 15.

This morning with 11 other hikers we hiked the long loop of the Breadalbane trail, 6.7 km.

Beavers had dropped this poplar tree across the trail, I used my camp saw to cut it and move it of the trail.

The Dunk river as seen from the bridge in Breadalbane.
I spend the afternoon mowing the lawn and weeding in the garden. I was to Warren Grove for cards, the last night for the season.
Mostly sunny at a cool 10.

With one tree down and the tops of three others, it has a difference look.

The high temperature was 10

Woods

Rain at 2 for most of the day, around 5 I went for a walk in the woods by the ball field. The vegetation on the ground is starting to green.

Deeper in the woods there are wind falls across the trail, I will need to bring in the chain saw to clear them.
I had breakfast with the firefighters, then was at a couple of lumber yards getting some material.
I spend most the afternoon in the shop tiding up.

Chain saw with sawdust

This morning I cut down a stump and blocked it for a neighbor. It sure made lots of sawdust and took four tanks of gas in the saw. The saw has a 24" bar and the stump was a meter across.

This evening I cycled with a group that started in Hampshire, there were 10 in the group, a good number for first evening.

This grain field in North Wiltshire is really growing, some interesting patterns in the rows.

I took park in the Ride of Silence this evening, about two dozen riders turned out for the ride.
That is Beaconfield house in the background.

The bike lane at Victoria Park was the starting point for the ride. The white bike is a "ghost bike" , a symbol for the ride in memory of rides that have been killed riding.
In the photo Mark was telling us the rules and then gave a short prayer, we then rode around Charlottetown for about 12 km.
It was raining in the morning but cleared before noon. It was about 10 degrees at time of the ride.

In the woods

Rain on & off all day with a warm 15. After lunch I took a walk in the local woods.
The ferns are coming up.

The wind blew over this lodged tree, looks to be very solid so will stay up for a long time.
Some water flowing in the little creek and making a nice sounds as it flows over debris.
