Clouds

I was in the woodlot in afternoon. I then when cycling with the Sherwood road group at 6:00. We cycled towards York and turned at the Union road. Mostly cloudy at 8mid afternoon, it was down to 4 when I got home from cycling. The sun was peeking out a bit when I took this photo from the bridge over the North River.

cycling

 After lunch I cycled to Victoria Park, this is a view of the harbour.
 
The cycling lane for Victoria Park is opening Tuesday May 1.

After leaving the Park, I cycled to Grafton St and picked of the trail. I cycled on it to the Colville road in Hampshire. This photo taken in Hampshire, a nice sunny day at 6 wind a moderate west wind.
I cycled the trail back to Milton , then took the road home logging 47 km for the trip.
I met about a dozen other cyclists while I was out cycling.

Woodlot

 It was cool at 3, very windy, gusting to 65 km/h and at one time a few flakes of snow in the air. I spend the afternoon limbing trees.
By 7:00 the sun was starting to show though the clouds and by 10:00 I could see the moon and the stars.
I was to Hampshire for cards this evening.

Sunrise & evening clouds

 This photo taken just after 6:00 AM, the daylight is getting bright a lot earlier.

Rained most of the day, about 20 mm in my gauge. Cleared for a hour around 6:00 PM but then the clouds were rolling in and the wind has picked up, sounds like 35-40 km/h, temp is 9.

Clouds

 I was in Charlottetown doing some errands when I saw this cloud of smoke, My guess is fire training at the airport.
 I was cycling after lunch, this crowd was in front of Province House, the concern was about a highway in Bonshaw.
I cycled the trail to Winsloe, this photo was taken near the Royalty road.
It was mostly sunny at 15 but a 35-40 km/h wind out of the northwest.

Rain

 Sun in morning, showers during the afternoon, the rain sure is bringing the grass along.

The buds on the maple tree are starting to open. I was at the woodlot for three hours over the noon period.
No cycling today, at home this evening.

Cherry Hill

 This is in the area of Cherry Hill and the photo of the rest area below is in same location.


This wetland marsh is just east of Mount Stewart.
Cloudy with sunny breaks and a temp of 15when I was cycling but very windy, 45 gusting to 60 km/h.
Rain at times heavy this afternoon.  I was to the cards games in Warren Grove tonight.

Monday evening rides

overcast at 10, forecast was for rain but never started in this area. I was cycling after lunch and I did the Charlottetown loop. Then at 6:00 I met the group at the Sherwood road, this is the first ride foe the season. Seven cyclists counting myself. We rode from the Sherwood Road to the Loyalist road and back to the starting point.  About 20 km return.  I logged 70 km for the day.

It was overcast at 4 when I went cycling at 3:00, I cycled to Charlottetown and took the trail to Winsloe and the the road home.  It was low tide at the harbour next to Victoria Park.
Steady rain now at 1, makes for a cold rain.

The field house at the Terry Fox fields. I had breakfast with the retired firefighters this morning and was doing yard work after lunch.  I was to Hampshire this evening for cards.

Sobeys

 There was hundreds of people lined up for the opening of Sobeys new store, the doors open at 9:00 AM.
The store was giving gifts to the first 500.

I was to the woodlot for three hours, got home at 1:30.  I when cycling at 2:30, cycled to the Charlottetown mall, then cycled the trail to North Wiltshire and back to Milton and then took the road home from Milton.
I logged 43 km for the trip, It was sunny at 18 but a strong west wind, about 30/35 km/h.

Fox on trail

I started at 3:00 and cycled to Victoria park, then to Joe Ghiz park and took the trail to Winsloe and the home logging 33 km. The fox stayed on the trail while I cycled past it. It was sunny at 8.

This is Ellen creek at low tide. I donated plasma in the morning and after lunch I spend a hour or more helping a farmer friend getting a clutch working on his tractor.

Although it was sunny at 7, I spend the day at the Credit Union Place in Summerside.

Sunny day

the warm day has opened the daffodils, it was up to 20 with a strong south wind.

This morning I went over the lawn with the lawn mower with a thatching blade on it, the wind blew most of the dead grass away. I was to the wood lot in the afternoon and to cards in Warren Grove tonight.

Cycling

This shovel is at the intersection of Sherwood road and the Confederation trail, this is where the Monday rides start from.

I was at the woodlot til 4:00, so it was 5:30 when I started cycling, I cycled to York and then back home going by Winsloe, I logged 33 km by the time I was home.
Sunny at 18 but windy.

Snow on trail

I cycled on the trail from Milton to marker 150 in Hazel Grove, I logged 44 km by the time I was back to Milton. It was sunny at 15 when I was cycling.

There were three locations where there is still snow, this drift was in Hazel Grove.

This evening I was to the airport to pick up a passenger, some puffy clouds above this taxing Westjet plane.

woodlot

Sunny at 10 when I was cycling, I cycled to Charlottetown and then took the trail to Winsloe and the road home logging 35 km.

This was in the Winsloe area, I saw a total of 13 cyclists while I was cycling.

I was in the woodlot for three hours, some snow still on the ground but I was to do some work, I didn't want to do too much until the arms get used to the saw.

Clouds & saw

This is the Charlottetown looking towards Stratford with the harbour opening on the right.
It was mostly sunny with a high of 8. I cycled into Charlottetown and then took the trail to Winsloe, then the road back home logging 36 km.

As it is time to starting doing some work in the woodlot, I purchased a new saw after I was cycling.

Fox

I was to Ravenwood for a meeting in the morning, this fox was on the grounds.
Light rain at +1 this afternoon, I was in the shop and repacked the bearing on rear wheel, trued it a bit and installed a new tire. Also cleaned and adjusted the shifter while the wheel was off.
It should be good for the summer.

Confederation Trail

After lunch I cycled the trail from the Farmers market to North Wiltshire, about 23 km.
This photo was taken at the Royalty road, note the puffy clouds.

This rest area is near marker 162 in North Wiltshire, there is a little snow in a few places which makes for a heavy (wet) trail. By the time I got back home I had logged 46 km.

Nice day

I was cycling after lunch, this is the trail near the Royalty road. Nice clouds in the sky, the temp got up to 14.

Clouds

I was for a walk in the fields behind the ball field around 6:00, almost solid cloud cover.

This is looking towards the Cornwall water tower, most of yesterday's snow is already gone.
I was going to cycle at 3:00 but after changing clothes it started raining so I went back to the shop. I have being repacking the bearing on both bicycles, one wheel left to be done.

At 7:40 AM this is what 15 cm of snow looked like. the early church services were cancelled.
No cycling today. By late afternoon there were some sunny breaks and temp up to 6.

Confederation Trail

It was mostly sunny at 7 when I was cycling, I cycled from the Farmers market to the Loyalist road on the trail, about 16 km. The trail in the Winsloe area was like summer.

At Royalty Junction towards Brackley was this snow bank, so I left it for another day.
By the time I got home from cycling I had logged 35 km.
I was to Hampshire for cards and it was snowing as I came home.

Evening clouds

The North River at low tide, photo taken around 6:00, nice clouds in the sky.

There was a few breaks in the clouds. I was to Montague and them went cycling in the evening.
I was using the old bike that I had repacked the wheel bearing but I didn't torque the axle nut enough and the wheel shifted. So I had to cut the ride short and come as I didn't have a wrench with me. I still logged 20 km.
