Today I cycled the trail from Montague to Georgetown and return to Montague. It is about 18 km one way.

Hemlock tree

This the only place where the trail splits to go around trees. There used to be two hemlocks but now only one. It is located about 5 km west of Rte 3 in Vernon River

Culvert for cattle

Today I cycled from Bethel to Vernon River. This box culvert is to allow cattle to cross under the trail. It is located near Lake Verde.

Morell

 Today I cycled from Scotchfort to Morell and return. The Marsh Marigolds and the beaver lodge are near Mount Stewart. The bee hives in the blueberry field were near Bristol and the Co-op in Morell

Colville Road

This morning I cycled with a group from the Colville road in Hampshire to the bridge in Hunter River. Not a long ride, about 90 minutes. This morning at 6:00 AM it was -3 but by the time we were cycling it was up to +6

Royalty Junction

The other day I was cycling on the  Charlottetown branch line coming to the why at Royalty Junction. left is west, right is east. A couple cyclists were looking at the map, so I stopped to chat with them.

Kensington

 Today I cycled the trail from Breadalbane to Kensington turning at marker 121. The old CN engine number 1762 is still parked in Kensington and the stone train station is one of a very few left in PEI.

Sherwood road group

We had 16 cyckists in the group this evening. We cycled from the Sherwood road to the Loyalist road and return on the Great Trail. It was named the Confederation trail but they have changed the name.

Waterfront

 Today I cycled to the waterfront in Charlottetown. The floating dock are in the water but no boats yet. I then cycled the Great trail to Winsloe. Mostly sunny at 12.

10 days

 10 day ago the trail was like this, had to walk bike over the snow.


 Today I cycled from Milton to Hunter River, no sign on the snow in North Wiltshire.
Sunny breaks with a temp of 20 but a gusty sw wind.
