Yard work

I spend the afternoon with the lawn mower with the bagger cutting the grass and picking up the leaves, I filled one cell in the compost bin.

I put 12 wheelbarrow loads of compost on the garden, still needs to be worked in.

By the looks of this cloud a cold front is moving in. It was -5 last night and the high for the day was 5.
I planned on doing some cycling but I was too long doing the yard work.

A good looking field  of soybeans, I expect it will be harvested any day now.

It should be a good crop as lots of pods on each plant.
I had breakfast with radio club members today, I mowed the lawn using the bagger after lunch to pick up some leaves. Because of stopping to empty the bag, it took over two hours.
Overcast with a high of 9.  Forecast for tonight is a low of 1

This part of the trail is just leaving Cardigan. It was sunny at a cool 12.

We stopped at the Georgetown wharf where some locals were fishing mackerel.

When we got back to Cardigan, we had dinner at the Cape Light restaurant, this is the view of the Cardigan river from the restaurant parking lot.

Vernon River

I was cycling this morning in the Vernon River area, this pond is about 1 km north of route 3. The trees on the far side are showing the fall colours.

This part of the Confederation Trail was opened last fall.

About 4.5 km from route3 is a rest area, the trail goes both sides of the big hemlocks.
The maple is showing a nice shade of red.
A little cooler today but still a nice day at 14.
