Fire School in Milton

 I was to the wood lot in the morning, after lunch I cycled to the trail at the bypass Hwy and cycled to Milton.  The trail goes right pass the PEI firefighters training centre.

A sunny day with a few puffy clouds, a light breeze at a temperature of 9. But because the sun was out, I was still able to cycled in shorts.

Ellen's creek

 Lots of geese at Ellen's creek today. After lunch I cycled to Victoria park, the took the trail to Winsloe and the roads home. 
 I then started picking leaves for the third and last time. It took 2 1/2 hours to finished.
I was to cards in West Royalty this evening

I mower has a small bag so I spend a lot of time emptying it. Mostly sunny with a high of 10.

Montague

 I was to Montague to visit family and then have supper at this church.

As we were leaving the church the sun was trying to peek out. This was about the most sun I saw all day.
A couple of light showers as well but we had a warm high temperature of 15.

Donation

My internet connection was down last night. The photo is of a potato field ready for harvest.
No cycling again yesterday but I did donate plasma in the afternoon.
Mostl overcast with a few showers thrown in, the high for the day was a cool 8.

Bare maples

 The rain and the wind gusting to 80 km/h has pretty well cleaned all the leaves off the maples.
High temperature for the day was around 7.

The next dry day will require picking up the leaves again. needless to say but no cycling today.

North Wiltshire

 This morning I cycled to the mall, then took the trail towards North Wiltshire, this photo has another cyclist ahead of me.
 A nice stand of mature maple trees.

I turned here at the Darlington road. I was out for about three hours. It was mostly overcast but some sunny breaks around noon. Rain started mid afternoon, expecting 20-25 mm, temp staying around 10.

Bridge

 This tree was blown down during a winter storm.

 Most of the branches have been removed.

 Now cut into 5 M lengths and split in two. I then had to move the planks about two hundred meters to the stream.
the almost finished bridge. A mix of light rain and drizzle all day at 13 with light wind.
I was to the IODE breakfast in the morning and to the bridge project for a hour after lunch.

 We had about 20 mm of rain today and still a light drizzle falling.

The grapes are about ready for harvest. I was to Hunter River for cards.

Thursday

I was to the wood lot for a couple of hours in the morning, helping a neighbor in the afternoon. I attended a town meeting this evening.  It started raining at 7:00 PM and forecast to rain until Sunday.

Cornwall

 I had my car undercoated "rustproofed' this morning in Cornwall.

 A new multi unit housing coming up in Cornwall across the street from the post office.

I was to Montague in the afternoon, came home with 20 lb of apples.
No cycling overcast most of the day, rain started around 4:00, a high temperature of 10

Pumpkin patch

 There was 8 cyclists for the Monday ride, we stopped for a rest in York at this pumpkin stand.
We then cycled to Bedford which made for a 32 km ride.
This pumpkin was no where near the winner in the weight off. It is 525 lbs but the winner this year was almost 1,000 lb.
A overcast day at a cool 7. But the wind out the west at 30 gusting to 45 km/h.

Ruby Princess

 Today I cycled around Victoria Park.

 Then to the waterfront to see the Ruby Princess.

I then cycled the trail from Grafton St to Hampshire, this photo is near the Colville road. I then cycled back to the Lower Malpeque road and on to home by the roads. I was out for a little over three hours and logged 55 km on the bike. A mix of sun and cloud with a west wind and a high temp of 16.

Uigg Sat Oct 18

 This group of the previous Trail Officers got together for a little cycling and then lunch at the Uigg community hall.

 The group cycled from Vernon River to Uigg, then back to Vernon after having lunch.

At this location near Lake Verde the trail splits around these two big Hemlock trees.
At nice with sun, light wind and a temperature of 18.

Cornwall

 The Cornwall water tower as seen from Highway 1 when going west.

The trail in Hyde Park, Cornwall. Lots of leaves on the ground. Overcast in the morning, rain in the afternoon.  A high of 18 but windy, at times gusting to 60 km/h from the south.
I was cycling around Cornwall for a couple of hours in the morning.

Cindy, it is just west of the Sherwood cemetery. It is the location for the new Government Highway garage.

Drizzle day

No cycling yesterday but I was to the wood lot for the afternoon. Today I had a wrap up for the season cycling meeting in the morning. Because of the light rain I decided not to cycle but run some errands.
I may go to cards this evening, on Thursdays there is cards in West Royalty.

 I cycled around the park, a stiff breeze blowing, 25-35 km/h.

 I then cycled the trail to Winsloe, they are still removing the topsoil from this construction site.

The fall colours are at their peak, by next week the leaves will be coming down

Cycling

we had 14 cyclists in the Monday afternoon group, we now start at 1:30 PM. Today we cycled out pass the Loyalist road and back to the Sherwood road. a sunny day at 14 but with a west wind of 20-25 km/h.

Tanker

 Today I cycled to Victoria Park, then across town to the waterfront. This boat is coming out of the water for the winter.

 The Irving tanker would be bringing the winter supply of fuel.

A lot of Cormorants lined up and probably waiting for lunch.
There was a few sunny breaks in the morning but all the time I was cycling it was overcast with a high of 12.

 I spend a few hours at the wood lot today, the first photo is what it looks like before I work on it.

After I got home I mowed the lawn. A mostly sunny day with light wind and a high of 15.

 This section of the trail is in Hazel Grove.

 This woods with all the colours is just west of Hunter River.

This one is in Hunter River not far from route 13.
I drove to Milton and cycled the trail to Hazel Grove and back to Milton, 45 km round trip.
Sunny with a light wind at 14.

ChickaDee

 The Chick a Dees are still coming for the bird seed.

 I cleaned out the garden and emptied the compost bin on the garden. It will be soon time to pick up leaves and fill the compost bins again.
The fall colours, this stand of trees are just one field west of our place.
Overcast foe the day with rain starting at 5:00, warm but windy gusting to 60 km/h at times this afternoon.
