Walk in snow

Late afternoon I went for a walk with the snow shoes, the sun had come out, temp -6 with winds gusting to 50km/h.
I was the only one out, no other tracks other than animal tracks
At the crossing of the creek, the sun was highlighting the trees.

The sun was setting as I was getting home, I believe sunset is at 4:35 today.

Storm day

10-12 cm of snow at this time, it then changed to a rain / snow mix. I used my blower clear the driveway around noon.

My neighbor contracted this John Deere to clear his driveway.
I went out on the snowshoes for 75 minutes and was wet to the skin in places because of the wet snow/rain.
I was not talking to then but there was three others out by the tracks, two with snowshoes and one without them. As I post this temp is just below zero with light snow and winds gusting to 60 km/h.  The forecast is for the wind to gust to 90 km/h overnight.
