Flowers

 The Gladiolas are looking good now but they seemed to be slow getting started.

 Lots of the dark blue Lupins at this location in Sherwood.

 The group for the ride this totaled 18 but not all in this photo, it was warm at 29 but with a light breeze it was a good ride. We went to the Loyalist road so it was about 22 km with the return trip.

Scotchfort

 A view of the Hillsborough river as seen in Scotchfort.  I started cycling in York and cycled to Scotchfort.

 I turned at marker 200.

This rest area is located in Bedford. I was cycling a little over two hours and logged 38 km.
I waited til the evening so it would be cooler. s I drove to York the car was indicating 29 but on the way home it cooled off to 26.

Alberton ride.

 The starting point today was the park in Alberton, there were 36 cyclists today.

 First Saturday in weeks that it wasn't raining, temperature was 18 starting out.

 We had a break in O'Leary, the town had barbequed hot dogs and drinks for us.

After cycling 38 km we finished for the day in Portage. The temp now 24 with a very light breeze.

Charlottetown waterfront

 I cycled into Charlottetown this afternoon, Lots of work going on getting ready for Canada day.

 Lots of boats at the marina near the Delta hotel. It was a sunny day with a high of 19.

This is a lawn /field of sweet clover, I could smell it before I was able to see it. It is in the new Industrial park off the Upton road.

Ferns

Another rain day, by 5:00 pm we had about 10 mm.  Temp at 13.
I attended a cycling meeting in the morning and in the late afternoon put on the rubber boots and went for a walk in the local woods. The flies were bad today.

A difference type of day

 We had light rain all day, about 2 mm.
As the wrap up to the 55+ summer games I had lunch at the Cold Beer store.
I like their motto and they have good beer as well.


This evening I was to New Glasgow to have a lobster supper with family members visiting here from Ontario.  So no cycling today.

I visited neighbors in the morning and mowed the lawn after lunch and yard work for the rest of the day.
I was to Long creek to play auction cards this evening.  A nice day at 23.

 There was 23 cyclists taking part in our Monday evening today, this was taken as we leave Sherwood road.

 The flocks are in bloom in York.

And there are some pink Ladies Slippers showing there colours near Brackley.
We hit a high temperature of 23 today.  I donated plasma today.

North Cape to Alberton

 Today I drove two hours to North Cape, which is where we stated cycling in mist and rain. We cycled the road to Tignish where the Confederation Trail starts.

 We had a rest in Tignish before starting the 21 km ride  to Alberton. We had 33 cyclists in the group today.

We finished the ride in Alberton at the old train station. I then got a ride back to North Cape to get my car, then drove to Alberton to get the bike. I left home at 7:30 AM and it was after 4:00 pm when I got home.

55 Games

 I was taking part in the 55+ Summer games today, here the teams are getting the instruction on the game Bocce.
 We started in the rain, had a short spell of sun and then back to rain, the team I was on came third.

We were playing of the front lawn of the town office.
I also played crib in the morning but no prizes for our score of 150, there was 20 teams playing crib.
We had a roast beef dinner at the closing banquet.  the Temperature was a cool 10.

Evening sun

 It rained a shower just as I was leaving to go cycling, I turn and came back home.

 A couple hours later the sun started peeking out though some breaks in theclouds.

It made quite a contrast in the colours of the trees.
We had family visit in the morning, after lunch I visited a sister and gave her push mower a bit of a tune up.

Rain

It started to rain at 9:00 AM, by 5:00 PM we had received 22 mm.  Also cool at 14 and a gusty wind from the southeast.  So no cycling today. I spend most of the day cleaning up in the shop.

Long Creek

 The maple trees are in full leaf now. High temperature for the day was 23.

I helped a neighbor sharpen the blades on his ride on lawn mower and then finished mowing my lawn.
This evening I was to Long Creek to play auction cards.

Monday evening

 A couple of cyclists coming to join in on the Monday evening ride that starts at the Sherwood road.

 I think the count for today was 18, here we were taking a break in Milton, our turning point was marker 167 in Hampshire.
Vapor trails in the evening sky. It was windy, gusting to 50 km/h at time with a high of 13.

Emerald Kensington

 Another misty raining day, more of just a mist as we start to cycle to Kensington, about 14 km.
 We were treated to barbequed sausage at the turn around point in Kensington, now light rain.

The only train locomotive in PEI is parked in Kensington.  It was a steady rain by the time we got back to Emerald. The temperature was a little warmer than yesterday at 15.

Emerald Borden ride

 We started the ride in the rain, the number of riders was down because of the weather.

 The last cyclist coming into Borden after cycling 18 km, the difference shades of green made for a nice scenery.

At the KOA camp ground in Borden, we had a bowl of chili before starting the return ride to Emerald.

It was a cool 12 and windy as well as the rain but the rain had stopped for the back to Emerald.

Blueberries in blossom.

 I was to the wood lot for the afternoon, there are some blueberries plants in the clearing and there is blossoms on them, too soon to tell if there will be berries.

 Our Hostas plants are looking very healthy.

Our neighbor's chestnut is in full bloom.
We had rain in the morning, then sun in the afternoon with a high temperature of 18.

Lupins

 I was cycling this evening, Hunter River to Fredericton and back, this bridge is located in Hazel Gove.

 These Lupins are at the intersection of the trail and the Clyde road.

I was helping with the ride this evening, we had 10 cyclists taking part and seven went all the way.
I started thinning carrots today, a mix of sun and cloud and a little cooler at 19.
