South Carolina #3

Sunny at 70F today, we had rain both Sunday and Monday. I was cycling at noon for 15 km and at 4:30 was out again for 30 km. I hope to be cycling tomorrow. On Thursday I start the drive back tp PEI.

Old railway station

Sunny with a low of -4 and a high of 8. I cycled into Charlottetown and then to Cornwall, I now have logged 400 km on the new bike. I attended a town meeting this evening.
Over the next couple of weeks I will not be posting every day. I leave in the morning for South Carolina. When I get a chance I will post some text but I don't expect any photos.

The Point

After lunch I cycled in to Charlottetown logging 25 km by the time I got home. Attended a meeting at the town office late afternoon and this evening I went to cards in Warren Grove.

Birds in oak tree

This flock of birds were in the oak tree this morning, I have no idea what they are.

You should be able to hear them on the video.
Sunny again with a low of -6 and a high of 5. After lunch I cycled around Cornwall logging 23 km. Watching some tv this evening.

As it was late when the curling was over, so this is Sunday's post.
After church I cycled into Charlottetown and back logging 19 km. After lunch we drove to Montague to visit a brother in law and his wife. In the evening I watched the final curling game, it went to the extra end but Koe (Alberta) won by drawing to the button with his last rock.

No wind

For the steam to be going straight up, means no wind.
Sunny day with a low of -9 and a high of 6. I was out cycling around Cornwall this afternoon and logged 27 km. Watched curling at noon, a good game. Watched again this evening, the game was a blowout, not good.

Sunny with a low temp of -8 and a high of 5. 10 km on EB. I was to the town office in morning. After lunch I cycled into Charlottetown and back home logging 25 km. This evening I attended a birthday party in Hampshire and then watched the curling from Halifax. Ont. won.

Ice free river

It is rare to see the river so calm that you see the clouds reflected on the water.
Sunny with light wind, low temp was -7 and the high was 6. 10 km on EB.
I donated plasma this morning, after lunch I cycled to Charlottetown and back logging 25 km.
I attended a town meeting at 4:30 and this evening I am watching curling.

In the morning I visited a neighbor and after lunch I cycled into Charlottetown and back logging 25 km. Spend the rest of the day watching curling.

Signs of spring

Sunny with light wind, low temp was -4 but the high was 5. 15 km on EB this morning. I went to the Central Queens church this morning, some one was celebrating a birthday. This afternoon I cycled into Charlottetown and around Victoria park and then out the Mount Edward road and then home logging 25 km. Lots of people out walking on the boardwalk and a few on the sidewalks in town in shorts. I watched curling this afternoon and plan on watching tonight's draw.

Blue sky

Sunny but windy til mid afternoon. Low temp -3 and the high was 3. 10 km on EB.
I had breakfast with some retired firefighters this morning. After lunch I went cycling around town logging 18 km. I then was on the skis for a hour. This evening I went to Hampshire to play cards.

Chicks

This chick is three days old.

They seemed to like to climb the pile of shavings in the corner.

Windy with light snow in morning, sunny breaks in afternoon, low temp was -4 and the high0.5.
This morning I visited a neighbor who just got some chickens. After lunch I went out on the skis for a hour. At 3:00 PM I went to Stratford for the 55 plus games banquet and had a roast turkey meal. This evening I spend some time looking at tax forms, it can make my head spin trying to understand them.

Tracks in snow

About 4:00 I went out on the skis, no other tracks other than animal tracks, not sure which one it would be.
More tracks near the stream.

Last week this was frozen over and I would cross on the ice, today I took the skis off and crossed on the snow covered log and didn't fall off the log.
Overcast with light snow at times, low temp -2 and the high 2. 10 km on EB.
I curled two games this morning in the 55 plus games, our team was on a roll and won all four games that we played. It was a mixed team and I was in the second position. This evening I attended the annual Official Board meeting at the church.

Curling

Overcast with light rain, freezing drizzle this evening and windy. Low temp was -2 and the high 1.5. 10 km on EB. This morning I curled in two games at the Charlottetown Curling Club, this was with the PEI 55 Plus games being hosted by Stratford. This afternoon I attended a wake and this evening went Warren Grove to play cards.
