Calm water

 I was cycling this evening around town, very little wind so the water was calm. This is the Cow's Ice cream factory at the North River.

This is looking across the river, the rain yesterday sure brought out the green colour in the trees and grass.
Overcast all day at 14. I donated plasma in morning, to the wood lot during the afternoon.

Rain day

It rained 18-20 mm today, so no cycling. Attended a meeting this morning for our Spring cycling event which is on June 9-10. It starts in Emerald both days, 28 km on Saturday and 36 on Sunday.
I attended a volunteer's meeting for the Becel Heart & Stoke this evening. The ride is this Sunday.

Ellerslie bog

 This bog in Ellerslie has a lot of what I believe is the pitcher plant.

The sign doesn't tell us much about the bog.
I had a friend come to O'Leary with me and then take my car to Miscouche. I cycled the Confederation Trail from O'Leary to Miscouche, logging 58 km on the bicycle for the trip.  It was overcast at 9 with some wind, Unfortunately it was a head wind for most of the trip.  It started to rain just as I got to Miscouche.
No cards at Warren Grove for the summer months.

Wild flowers

 Not sure what flower this is, it is in the woodlot.

 This one is in the wood lot as well, seems like it may be a type of Lady Slipper.

These are Lady Slipper's, they are on the edge of the trail in York.
It was sunny and windy, the temp was only 8 when I got home from cycling.
I visited neighbors this morning, at the wood lot in afternoon and cycling this evening with the Sherwood road group, we cycled to Suffolk and back. I had logged 40 km by the time I was home.

Montague waterfront

 This is a view of the Montague river looking down river towards Lower Montague.

The waterfront has this carving of a mermaid.

The visitor information center has a carving of a fisherman. I cycled from Montague to Cardigan and back, about 24 km return. It was sunny and a little cooler at 18 with a light wind.

Clouds

 The evening clouds around 6:00, it was mostly sunny with a high of 23.

I had breakfast with the firefighters in morning, in the afternoon cycled around Charlottetown and out to Winsloe logging 30km for the trip. I was to Hampshire cards this evening, the last night for the season.

Water fowl

 This pond is in Selkirk, photo taken yesterday, no cycling today.

 This is in Selkirk as well, can you spot the duck in the photo? it is flying over the water.

These three geese are in a creek just east of St Peters.
I was at the wood lot in morning, cut the grass in afternoon and planted some garden this evening.
A very nice day, sunny at 23 with a light breeze.

Elmira

 I drove to Elmira and had a friend take the car back to Morell. I started cycling in Elmira which is the east end of the trail. The trail marker at Elmira is 273.

There is a wind farm near Elmira, I believe there is 10 units but I only got nine in the photo.

At Harmory Junction there is a artisan well, a good flow of water today.
When I got to Morell, I had logged 55 km on the bicycle.
Sunny and a temp of 20 with a light breeze.

Farming

 Late afternoon I was cycling from Milton to Hunter River, this field covered with plastic is near the Loyalist Road.  Cocoa, any idea what the crop might be?

 One of the bridges in Milton, the trees are really leafing out.

The apple trees are in blossom as well.
I was to the wood lot in the morning. Overcast all day and the temp was down to 10 when I got home from cycling.

 Saturday when I was cycling in the Morell, saw these two canoeists in St Peters bay.

This fisherman was in Bristol. No cycling today, yard work all day and to Warren Grove to play cards this evening.  Sun for the first part then light rain this evening.

River at low tide

 This is the North River at low tide, about 6: 00 PM, I was cycling to the Sherwood road.

This is the north side of the North River at 8:20 PM, the sun was just setting behind the trees.
I was on the way home from the Sherwood road. The group cycled from the Sherwood road to the Loyalist Road, about 22 km return.  I visited neighbors in morning, and was doing yard work all afternoon.
Sunny at 26, but strong southwest wind at 35 gusting to 50 km/h.

Morell St Peters

 I was cycling from Cherry Hill to St Peters this afternoon, about 45 km return. This is the visitor Information center in St Peters. lots of tulips but the grass needs to be cut.

 This is the Visitor Information Center in Morell,  It was a nice day, about 20 with a light breeze.

Blueberry fields in Dundee, the blue tents are open on one side and are covers for the the bee hives..
I mowed the lawn in the morning and was to Hampshire for cards in the evening.

Rabbit

 I saw this rabbit on the side of the trail in Bedford, this evening I cycled from York to Scotchfort.

 I turned at marker 200 in Scotchfort, the marker at the end is 273.

This photo of the green pasture, horses and clouds was in Tracadie Cross.
It was cloudy all day but cleared around 6:00 PM, temp was 16 but it was windy, 30 gusting to 45 km/h.

Wood lot trail

 This path / trail leads into the north end of the wood lot.

This bush is leafing out nicely, but I don't know what it is, anyone know?
Overcast with light sprinkle of rain every now and then, warm at 19. I was in wood lot for four hours.

 These flowers are at the Trinity United church in Charlottetown, I was picking up tickets for a lobster supper.
 I was cycling for a couple hours in late afternoon, I got these photos of the man playing with his Skidoo at the North River bridge.
Mostly overcast at a high of 16, this evening I planted some garden and then went to cards in Warren Grove.

Monday evening ride

 There was 15 cyclists for the ride this evening, we rode out to Suffolk, about 22 km return.

This part of the trail is in York, the poplar trees are leafing out.  We had a high of 17 today, a mixture of sun and clouds with showers. I was to the woodlot this afternoon.

Clouds

 This afternoon I was cycling around Cornwall, this photo of the West River and clouds was taken at Primrose Point.
This photo taken at the same location, nice homes in this area. When I was cycling it was mostly sunny at 15 but then it clouded over in the evening, around 5:30 there was a few drops of rain.

Strawberries?

 After lunch, I was cycling in the York area when I saw these blossoms along the size of the trail.

I am sure there are wild strawberries blossoms, I will watch to see if there are any berries.
I cut the grass this morning, which was a good move as I got catch in a shower on the way home from cycling, about the last 6 km, so all my cycling gear is on the drying rack.  Temp a cool 13.

Sunny day at 18

 I was cycling in afternoon, this is the Ellen creek as seen from just off the North River road, Co-op ball diamond in the foreground.

This is the upper part of the North River at high tide, I was looking south from the Confederation trail.
I cycled to Charlottetown, then took the trail to Milton and then home logging 37 km for the trip.\
I did some yard work this evening and close to being ready for the spring compost pickup on Monday.

Planning on planting

 A warm day at 15 and windy, 50 gusting to 70 km/h at times. Rain in morning, cleared after lunch and rain again this evening. I was to Vessey's Seeds to get my garden seeds.

I also had a look around the sales room, lots of power tools for yard and garden work.
No cycling today but looking better for tomorrow.
