Diversity days in Charlottetown.

 Two blocks of Queen street looked like this today.

Victoria Row was the same, they were lucky that the rain was over.
I cycled to Charlottetown, then picked up the trail at Grafton st. and cycled the trail to Milton. I then cycled home on Rte 248. A mostly cloudy day with a high of 24 and a strong southwest wind.
Lots of cyclists around Charlottetown and on the trail.

No photo day

Finish the front roof this morning, then mowed lawn til 3:00.
Then to Montague to visit friends and family, just got home.
scattered showers with a high of 23 and south wind gusting to 40 km/h.

Rain day

I was able to work on the roof for the morning but then the rain started, 10 mm by 6:00 PM

The hosta are doing well. The high temperature for the day was only 15

Walk in the rain

Mid afternoon in light rain I took a walk though the ball fieldwoods, this back of the woods appears to be planted in soybeans.

Lots of big ferns along the trail in the woods.
I was on the roof for the morning and this evening to Crapaud for the sister of a fellow firefighter.

Big job

I had a load of shingles delivered to day.
The shingles are on the roof, now the real work starts.
I mowed the lawn in the morning and was to Long Creek this for cards.
A mostly sunny day at 28 with high humidity.

Airport roundabout

 They are laying the base layer of ashfelt for the traffic circle at the airport intersection.

It is looking like it will be finished by the end of the week.

The cyclists at Sherwood road starting the ride. We cycled to marker 167 in Hampshire and back to Sherwood, about 22 km for the return trip.  Sunny at 25 with light wind.

Wild roses & geese

These wild roses are on side of the trail near the Farmer's market.

These two geese and the six goslings are in a pond in York.

There were nine Trail Officers cycling today, we cycled from Winsloe to York and back. Only six in the photo, two were ahead & I was taking photo.

Old Vehicles

 I was to Maggie's for breakfast this morning, this old Ford looks like it is original.

A lot of work went into this one but it is sure one of a kind.
I was to Wood Islands after lunch for a Memorial service for one of the radio club members.
Then to Uigg for a late afternoon radio club social. So no cycling today but a nice sunny day at 24.

Noon ride

A group of cyclists ( about 15) cycled from City hall to Victoria park and back today at noon, It was to recognize cycle to work day.

One of the horse rides on Charlottetown streets for the summer.

The house in Sunrise Cove is ready to have the roof shingles installed.
Mostly sunny at 23 with a shower this evening.  I was to the closing banquet for the 55+ games, roast turkey, very good.

Lady Slippers

I was cycling east this morning and saw these Lady Slippers, they are located on the trail in Head of Cardigan.

 After lunch I mowed the lawn, took about two hours.

This wagon load of fresh baled hay is in Hampshire, the last few days has being perfect hay making weather.
I cycled with the Hampshire group this evening, We had 9 cyclists and cycled to Hunter River and back, about 21 km.  A mosty sunny day with a high of 23.

Hard to believe these are old tractors.
I cycled this evening with the 55+ games event, there were 18 cyclist taking part in the 20 km ride.

Kensington

 After lunch I cycled from Emerald to New Annan on the trail, the trail takes you though Kensington.

They have the old station all fixed up and a nice place to stop.

This field of new mowed hay is east of Freetown.
A sunny day at 22 but windy, gusting to 40 km/h at times.

Pink Lady Slippers

 I was to the wood lot after lunch and found these pink Lady slippers in another location.

So there is several locations where the Lady Slippers are located, seems like it is good year for them.

A good number of cyclists for the Sherwood road ride this evening. Most of us were wearing green in memory of Brenda who cycled with us for the couple of years. Unfortunately she died last winter.
A nice day with a high of 22.

 I believe this bush is a snowball tree, first year with blooms.

This man has it under control. We were to Montague in the afternoon and the family was to the house for supper. Sunny at 22 with a very light breeze.

Nation Park ride

I took part in the National Park bike ride this morning, I am guessing close to 80 cyclists but not all cycled the 18 km ride to Rustico. The first photo is at the turning point in Rustico so some riders are coming with others on the way back.

There was several boats fishing of shore but these two came in a little closer.
It was a nice day with light wind, sun and a temperature around 20.
After lunch I mowed the lawn and the in the evening I cycled to the mall, then to Winsloe and back home.

Flowers

I was cycling the trail in the Winsloe area after lunch. The flowers in the second photo near to the Red Oak landscaping, I thinking they may have escaped from the Red Oak lot.
 

By the time I got to the North River bridge a light shower was starting, this photo is looking north from the bridge, seems a little brighter to the north.  A one time the temperature was up to 18.

Hampshire ride

These Lupins are near the trail on the Colville road.

I donated plasma after lunch and this evening cycled to Hunter River and back, we had 10 in the group.
Mostly overcast and windy at times, temperature was down to 10 when I got home from cycling.

Wet day

Light rain most of the day, steady rain this evening. Late afternoon I was on the trail with GPS unit, It says a geocache is behind this tree but I decided it was too wet to go to it.

 The trees are all in leaf and really fresh colours.

The Peony is showing off its blooms.
I attended a firefighters meeting this evening.

Lady Slippers

 I was to Brookvale park this morning with the Cornwall hiking group, lots of lady slippers there.

It was short sleeve type of day, sunny at 22.  After lunch I helped brother inlaw put belt on lawn mower, then weeding the garden and thinning carrots.  I was to Long Creek this evening to play cards.

Woods, shovel & clouds

After lunch I was in the woods for three hours, then I mowed the lawn.

 I was cycling with the Sherwood road group, we Cycled to marker 167 in Hampshire, about 24 km for the trip. This shovel was being unloaded near the trail in Miltonvale, not sure what it is going to do.
