Boyd's power show

We had a tractor the same as this John Deere on the home farm 50 years ago. This one is about 60 years old.

This old hit & miss upright engine is 100 years old. When  you look at the video, it looks like it could use a ring job as it seems to be burning some oil.

My brother inlaw had one of these Farmall H, he may still have it and it would be over 60 years old.
Boyd's tractor show is near Bonshaw and there was close to a 100 units entered there. Several uits came from the mainland.  We had rain in the morning but then cleared and was a nice afternoon with a high of 23

Potato field

This afternoon I cycled from Milton to Greenvale and back, about 30 km.
These photos of the trail and rest area are in Greenvale and is where I turned back.

This potato field is in North Wiltshire and must have been planted late to be in blossom now.
We had about 6 mm of rain in the morning, there was a light mist while I was cycling and very windy.
In the morning there were gusts to 70 km/h but the gusts were down to the 50 km/h range when I was cycling. The temperature was around 15.
Last night I was to auction cards in Milton.

This evening I was to the Vernon River hall to hear the Celtic Ladies & men. They put on a very good performance.

Trail bridges

These photos were taken last week when I cycled to St Peters. The first bridge is over the Marie river.

This view is the trail as you come into St Peters along the edge of the bay.

This bridge was rebuilt a couple of years ago, it is over the Midgell river.
I visited the neighbors in the morning, then spend the afternoon tidying up the shop.
Mostly overcast with light rain this evening.

Town sign

Another view of the new convention center.

The flower bed with the town information sign are looking good.

After lunch I cycled the road to Loyalist road, then cycled the trail into Charlottetown and around Victoria Park. I used the bike lane in the park every chance I get, the city fathers are planning on doing away with the bike lane, I am hoping they change their thinking.
The photo of the sky and cloud taken at the North River bridge. I logged 40 km on the bike Cypress LX.

I think that I may give it a try, I am sure that I have been up higher antenna towers.

Our local family restaurant has a new name.
I had breakfast with the firefighters today and done a little painting after lunch
The high for the day was only 20.

This is the entrance to the new convention center as part of the Delta  Hotel.

Looks like about 50 cyclists nearing the finish line.
I was to Montague this evening. Mostly cloudy with a high of 21.

Geese & mussels

This morning I cycled Cherry Hill to St Peters and back, these geese were at the Marie bridge.

Although not all in the photo, I am guessing a hundred or more geese.
These mussel lines are in St Peters bay not far from St Peters.  This evening I cycled with the Hampshire group from Milton To Hunter River and back. I logged 73 km on the new bike for the day.
Mostly sunny with a high of 28 but windy, at times gusting to 45-50 km/h.

Kinkora

As you come into Kinkora, you can see the two windmills next to the church.

Even with it being Sunday the trucks were lining up to unload at the storage tanks.

This field of second cut hay was just mowed this morning.
I drove to Hunter River and cycled to Kinkora and back logging about 50 km, the Cypress LX rides well on the trail.  It was sunny at 25. I was to a family gathering in Hampshire in the afternoon.

Just waiting for the corn to cook.

Parade

To beat the traffic I cycled to the parade, thousands came out to watch it. I was at the start on the North River road by Queen Charlotte school.

This 1970 Willy's jeep was running very smooth.

Of the 100 floats in the parade, this one was judged to be the best.

Storm cloud

This spider was on our door today, it measures about 4 cm across, I don't know what it is called.

Looking to the east there is a break in the clouds but look to the west and it is much darker.

A few minutes later we had a heavy rain shower, the forecast was for showers all day so I didn't do any painting. I visited by sister in morning and helped a neighbor with a project after lunch and attended a meeting this evening.

Painting

I finished painting the trim on the shop today, still some work to do on the house.

I was to Long Creek to play cards this evening, there was 36 people there, mostly seniors.
Mostly sunny at 25 with light wind, would have been a good day for cycling.

Cyclists

Although only six here, there was 10 in the Sherwood group for the evening ride.

The setting sun is touching the clouds. I used the new bike today for the first time and run on 45 km.
For unknown reasons blogspot would not let me post last night.

Vessey's flowers

This morning I cycled from York east to St Andrews, about 25 km one way.
This rest area is located in Bedford. Lots of cyclists on the trail this morning. A nice day, mostly sunny with a high of 24 but a bit windy.

These flower gardens are Vessey's in York, note the cattle in the background.
