Beetle

I was on the skis around 4:00 near some trees and I see this beetle moving on the snow.

This is a close up shot, it was about 2.5 cm long.

Some sunny breaks with light wind, low temp was -1 and a high of 6. 15 km on EB in morning. I attended a meeting at the University from 10:00 to 2:00 PM. I went out on the skis at 3:00 for 75 minutes. I watched the women's curling this evening.

Snow

This was taken around 8:00 AM. There was light snow all day.

I went skiing at 2:30 and there were no fresh tracks in the snow. I was out for 90 minutes.

This is a close up of some cones, about 4-5 cm long. I really don't know what they are, Cocoa do you know?
The low temp was -1 and the high 3. 15 km on EB this morning. This evening I watched the men's curling, Canada now 7-0. The hockey is on now.

Crow

This crow hangs around a neighbors farm, when you get out of your car, it will say hello.
In the video, the first two hellos are mine but the third one is the crow.
On Friday I was skiing and to the curling club in the evening and after the curling, played crib and it was late when I got home so no posting.
Light snow at times today with the temp on the plus side. 15 km on EB, then to a radio club breakfast meeting. I was skiing in the afternoon for 90 minutes. Undecided as to watch curling or go play cards this evening.

Walk in Silence

Today at noon I took part in the Walk in Silence for Victims of Family Violence

We started at Province House and walked to City hall.

Weather was mostly overcast with a bit of drizzle in the evening. Low temp of -1 and high of 4.
15 km on EB, then donated plasma and the walk at noon. After lunch I was on the skis for a hour and the attended a trails meeting at 4:00. I watched the ladies curling til 9:00, They won but it took the extra end.

Snow storm

We had a total of 15 cm of snow and winds gusted to 70 km/h at times, low temp was -2 and high 3.5. 15 km on EB this morning. The storm had all schools closed, government offices and a lot of meetings canceled. Watch curling in afternoon. I was out on skis for 35 minutes before supper and attended monthly council meeting this evening.

Ski lodge

A few sunny breaks with a high temp of 5. 13 km on EB. I was at the curling club in the morning and played a eight end game. In the afternoon I watched the men's curling on TV, They won but it took an extra end. This evening I went to Warren Grove to play cards. The men's curling comes on at 11:00, I will watch some but not the full game.

Brookvale Ski Park

I skied two trails, the Plantation and the Hardwood trail.

As it was a holiday, lots of people using the trails.

Light snow most of the day, low temp was -2 and a high of 3. 22 km on EB.
I visited with neighbors in morning, after lunch drove to Brookvale and skied for two hours.
