Snow and snowshoeing.

Yesterday I woke up to 40 cm of snow to clear off walk and driveway. at -9 it was good snow to blow.

Then in the afternoon I was snowshowing with a Cornwall group for 75 minutes, a small group of four.

Today I saw rabbit tracks in a couple places in the woods by the balll field.

I went as far as the water tower and back by a different route so I was breaking for about 75% of the 4 km that I travelled.  Today was sunny at -2 with a light west wind.

On the snowshoes

It started snowing in the morning and snowed all day. Late afternoon I snowshoed to the business park.
Not much wind and the snow was staying on the trees.

A nice flow of water in the little creek, temperature was around zero most of the day, as of now it is -2

Sawing plank by chainsaw

I was to the wood lot today, setting up some logs to see if I can saw out a plank.

A little rough but I got my first plank.

I found that the jig on the old Poulan is too big, I will redo part of it.

Later I walked to the business park and back. Very foggy at +8 with rain showers.

Mild day at +8

These ski tracks were made after I was here yesterday. I haven't tried my skis yet.

With a bit of sun, a +8 temp and a south wind of about 30 km/h the snow is disappearing.

The sun was hiding behind this cloud. I didn't brother with the snowshoes but did walk the 3 km loop to the business park and back.
