New shoes

The old bridge in the woods by the ball park, 100 meters south is the new bridge put in this fall.

It was 4:00 before I got to go for a walk but no one out ahead of me.

I got new snow shoes today so I am all set for the snow.  I was 90 minutes clearing the driveway this morning. We had 20 cm of snow then 10 mm of rain on top, it made for very heavy wet snow.
The temp was around the zero mark all day.

Warm day 16

I went cycled around 2:00 and cycled to Victoria Park, the wind was quite strong, at the park I would guess 40km/h or more.

I the cycled the trail to Winsloe, I was surprised to see a snake out but it was warm at 16 today.

But it was a little slow so I moved it to the side of the trail so it wouldn't get stepped on.

It was after 1:00 before I started cycling, I cycled to the mall, then the Mount Edward road, then Rte 2 to Winsloe and then back home, about 20 km.

The trail was too wet & muddy for me to cycle on with the Cypress.
We had some sun in the morning, but it was cloudy when I was cycling, actually had started to rain by the time I got home. Temperature is high to 11 as I make this post.

At the butt end it was all I could cut with my saw, I was wishing I had my chain saw with me.
It was overcast with a 20 km/h breeze with a temperature of 9.

Red oak

This red Oak is still holding onto its leaves even with the wind  gusting in excess of 70 km/h yesterday.
Our new Canadian Tire store has just opened, I haven't got to visit it yet, maybe tomorrow.
